Kickin' butt in P.T.

Today, Amy took a little bit of a turn for the worse. Mostly, she had stomach issues related to her surgery and had to stay home, feeling awful in every sense. So, she stayed home and took care of the furnace repair stuff, and I went into the hospital while she slept and tried to feel better. She seems to be feeling better now, after spending most of the day home, sleeping, and healing.

Teddy had his physical therapy. His physical therapist stopped by, and gave him some tummy time, and was surprised that he lifted his (for him) ginormous noggin. He looked all around as she sat him up, and he was generally pretty amazing for someone a week old. He had about 20 minutes or so of sitting up and laying on his tummy, and the therapist said that she was really surprised at how he was doing.

After that, we had Tom and Diana stop by. Diana held him for a while, and he was pretty good for them. While they were there, we also had a visit from his surgeon, who's name I didn't catch. He walked us through what would happen tomorrow. Teddy will go down around 7:00, and be in surgery at 9. We'll get updates from the surgeon's team every 90 minutes or so. He was very nice and confident about the outcome of the surgery. He said that he didn't anticipate any difficulties or anything. There's obviously some risk, but he said that it's pretty small, overall. Then this evening, his Grandma and Grandpa Petry stopped by and held him, which he liked a lot.

The plan tomorrow is that Amy and I will get there early in the morning, before 7, and see him off. Then we'll wait wherever they want us to wait, getting updates, and generally trying not to crawl out of our skins while we wait. I'm not sure where we'll be in the hospital. It's wherever they send us. I'll try to keep updating throughout the day either here, or on my Twitter feed (which, conveniently for you all, is also here).
