Monday plans

Sunday morning, I got the news that Teddy should be moved to the step down unit Monday. Basically, he doesn't need the ICU any more. This is a big deal for a couple of reasons. First, the step down doesn't have the cold and flu season restrictions, which means that anyone can still come and visit him. Secondly, and more importantly, this is the first step toward really getting him out of the hospital. From what I understand, this side of the hospital floor is focused more on getting Amy and I up to speed on how to take care of him. The idea is that he, more or less, is beyond needing much in the way of medical care. Now, we just need to learn what his normal is, so we can recognize when he isn't normal, and how to take care of him. So that's what we start tomorrow.
