Update from the latest ultrasound

So, here's the update. First, it's still truncus arteriosis. However, it appears to be the case that it's the Type 1 version, which means a well developed aorta, and smaller pulmonary arteries. However, the pulmonary arteries on Possibly Teddy and very well formed, which is good. That, along with the early diagnosis last time, suggests that he'll be fairly well oxygenated. The current expectation is that surgery will not happen immediately after he's born, but within a week or so. However, he's still going to spend that week in Children's. Other than that, he's about 4 pounds 3 ounces, plus or minus. He's doing all the breathing tests pretty well. He's still on the small side, but we're OK with that. The official word from the hospital is that he won't go past his due date before being induced. After that, there are additional complications incurred, and also, it's good to have him in a position where they can plan the have the three different medical teams that they want lined up and ready. Sorry, Dad, but there's pretty much no chance that he'll share your birthday. I think that covers all the news right now.

Oh, last thing: we're registered at Babies R Us, and we're going to register at Target.
