So what did you do today?
He got pulled out of a nice, comfortable, warm place where all his needs were catered to and got to be introduced to an entire world of cool, amazing and awesome stuff. Theodore Bennet Petry was born at 12:00 p.m., and he was 5 pounds, 10 ounces at birth. He's 17 and 3/4 inches long, and we're hoping he gets a little bigger at some point. He's had a pretty rough day, but he's hanging out at Children's Hospital now. If you want to come visit him, give me a call and we'll get you in. Visiting hours are probably between 8 and 8, generally. Grandparents and parents are allowed here pretty much all the time. If you can't get me by cell, you can call the room at 614-722-9000 x 40427. That's the parents' line, and the staff don't answer it, so if you call and no one answers, it's not because something terrible has happened. It just means we're not here, or we're not answering.
Amy's doing well. She's at Riverside, in room 5252 in the Maternal Fetal section. Follow the signs for the yellow area. Theoretically, you can visit her between 8 and 8 also, but they're pretty lenient with the times since it's a private room. Just call her at 595-9508 first. She'll probably be there for several days, and I know she'd appreciate people stopping by.
I'm OK. I'm tired, and I'm going to be bouncing between Children's and Riverside like a ping-pong ball, so if you can't find me at one place, I'm either at the other, or at home. I don't need too much at the moment, but I do invite people to come and talk to Teddy. I'm sort of planning to eventually set up a Google account for Ted and if people want to e-mail him, I'll let people know what the address is when I get that setup. In the mean time, please feel free to come by and visit him.
