We fed him, and changed a diaper. It's sort of like home?
Teddy woke up a little after my last post. He has a cry. It's pretty soft and sad still, but he did manage to open his eyes, look right at me, and, true to his devious past, say very clearly, "Mom?"* He drank about 8 ounces of pedialyte that we gave him (which was fun), and a little Oxycodone, because he was pretty clearly in pain. He also wet his diaper. And then sheet. And the bed. Apparently his diuretic cocktail that he's on to get the fluids out of him is working. So Teddy is doing great. They haven't taken his chest tube out, but I think that's coming shortly.
*For those that don't know this, one of Teddy's favorite jokes is to sit in the room with Amy when I'm out of the room and go "Da, Da, Da, Daddy, Dada, Da!" And then when I run in and say "What's up, little man?" He looks right in my eyes and smiles broadly and says, "MAMA!" Then he laughs. So, he's learning sarcasm and generalized smart alecness at a very high level. Like prodigy levels. We're doomed.
