One more ultrasound down...
So, we went to have yet another ultrasound today. Amy has pictures on a disk and some little videos and all sorts of stuff. Maybe Ted is practicing his breathing, strengthening his lungs and diaphragm, which is good. His heart looks, in the words of the doctor, "Stable, possibly improved." That doesn't mean that he won't have to have surgery, but it means that the structures look like they may be slightly there. This is absolutely not something to get your hopes up about at all. Best case, it means an easier surgery. Worst case, the same surgery they were already planning on. Also, that's the high-risk delivery doc, not the pediatric cardiologist. It does not, in any way, change any plans on our part. It just means that the surgeons may have more options, and it may have just been a shadow. Apparently, it's hard to take a picture of a beating heart that's still inside someone, who's inside someone else. Amy's resting at home, and I'm in to the office. Oh, toes and fingers count is good, still. He's probably got more hair than my Dad (hi, Dad!) and the rest of him looks basically OK.
