The Night Before

Teddy's 1000 yard stare that is Ignore Mode
We're at the hospital now. Teddy is decidedly unhappy about that. He's decided that the proper approach is to enter into Teddy Ignore Mode, where he will just ignore whatever the nurses will do. This is an improvement over his initial mode, which I will call Screaming Caniption Fit Mode, where he screamed "I don't want to be here" at the nurses and got so upset that he actually threw up. However, now that the initial shock has worn off a bit, he's hanging out and he's relaxing and getting ready to get his IV and his COVID test. That's the last of the big ticket, terrible things to happen tonight. I asked him if there's anything he wanted me to share with everyone, and he's reminded me that I have forgotten the most important thing in the last few days, which is that he's lost a tooth.

Tonight, he'll go on an IV at midnight to hydrate to prep for tomorrow. And then tomorrow around 12:30 he'll be in his procedure. It should only take a few hours, and then we'll be out. In the mean time, we're all hanging out in the non-ICU side of the cardiac floor at Nationwide Children's Hospital, just... waiting.
