It's been a while, really. Sorry about that. We've been busy. One of the things that Franklin County's tax dollars go toward is a program called Help Me Grow. Actually, it's a state program that's administered on a county level, because that's how almost
all social services are handled in the U.S. They assess kids that might have development problems for a variety of reasons. In Teddy's case, it was because he was in the hospital for 40 days. They found that he was a bit behind in his gross motor skills. It's nothing brain related. It's a delay due to the necessities of care interfering with everything that a baby normally does during that period. So my Aunt Sue is going to work with him. She's been out to see him at Mom and Dad's and at our house, and she's confident that he's going to bounce back like a champ. This is not something we're worried about.
Part of why we're not worried about this is that we have been hanging around today, snowed in, watching him reach up to grab stuff in his crib, which he wasn't doing last week, but is doing today.

| Teddy and his uncle Jason, discussing how to best drive Teddy's daddy completely crazy. |
| Teddy, playing on his imaginary beach as Amy gets him ready for a trip to the real thing. |
| The view from the rocking chair at night, watching Teddy doze off. |
| The view out our front window. This is why we're snowed in, and playing with Teddy. Well, that and it's just fun. |

| "I'm grabbing my cat toy! Look!" |
| "So, that's how these work when I hold them out. Cool. Cool." |
| "Hey, are you taking pictures of me?" |
| "Ha! See. I'm not doing anything. No fun taking pictures now!" |
| "I've messed up your plan to capture this moment! Ha ha!" Joke's on you, kid. I'm taking pictures of you just cause you're cute as a button. You can't stop that. |
